Despite its name, the Ponytail Palm is not a palm at all — it’s actually in the same family as Agave! An ideal companion for travelers or those looking for a statement plant that requires minimal care, this slow-growing plant has a gorgeous mane and a swollen trunk, leading to its common name the elephant’s foot plant. Water approximately every two to three weeks (it’s very drought tolerant!) and provide as much direct sunlight as possible.

Learn to read your plants’ minds with the Sustee Aquameter. This easy-to-use moisture sensor will let you know when your plants need a drink.
Simply place the aquameter upright in your plant's soil between the edge of the pot and the plant stem, just covering the depth mark on the Sustee. Water your plant and give it time to absorb moisture and siphon up to the display window. The color changes to blue when the plant is watered. Leave Sustee in the soil – when the color returns to white, it is time to water again.

Undoubtedly the cutest aloe out there, the Hedgehog Aloe has pronounced little teeth on each leaf. As desert dwellers, they love basking under the bright sun and being watered about every two to three weeks. This fast-growing trailing plant has splashes of glittery silver across its dark green velvety leaves. It does well in bright but indirect light, but if you are able to give it a couple of hours of direct sunlight, the plant will reward you with more silver variegation. It is also very communicative of its needs in that the leaves begin to curl when the plant is thirsty. Give a thorough watering and it will perk up within a day!
