Philodendron Green

String of Hearts ( Ceropegia Woodii) is a flowering plant native to South Africa. Its plump heart shaped leaves range from deep to muted green with pink hued undersides, and the plant will sprout light pink flowers with dark purple centers even when kept indoors. Often grown in hanging baskets, the leaves sprout along trailing vines that hang straight down in a beadlike formation. Best placed on a windowsill or shelf, these plants will grow quickly and can reach upwards of 10ft in length.

The Monstera Adansonii sp Friedrichsthalii, aka the "Swiss Cheese" plant, gets its nickname from the large holes in its leaves called "fenestrations." These holes are a theorized evolutionary advantage that allows light to pass to the lower leaves of the plant in its natural low light environment beneath the jungle canopy, as well as allowing wind to easily pass through the leaves.
This is an easy to care for plant that can be grown in one of two ways: As a hanging basket its vines will form long cascades, but like all Monsteras its natural tendency is to climb, so to maximize the size of the leaves a stake can be placed in its pot for the vines to ascend. The Monstera Adansonii appreciates bright, indirect light and will respond well to high humidity.

The Philodendron cordatum , or heart leafed philodendron, is a trailing plant native to Southeast Brazil. Often mistaken for pothos, this plant is epiphytic and has solid green heart shaped leaves that trail and grow long. The philodendron cordatum pairs well with a hanging planter, or can be placed on a table or shelf. This plant can be propagated easily.  Take a clipping, stick it in water, and watch it grow!

Monsetera Deliciosa is native to the rain forests of Mexico and Central America. Its young leaves are smaller with no lobes or holes, but produce their famed perforated leaves as they mature. As a sub-canopy plant, monsteras are tolerant of lower light conditions, but will grow more quickly and evenly in bright indirect light. Our Large Monstera exibits fully mature perforation in the leaves.

Dracaena Lisa Cane is one of the most popular indoor plants because it offers tall, beautiful, deep green glossy foliage and is incredibly easy to care for. Though it prefers bright indirect light, it is very tolerant of lower light conditions. The staggered heights of the different canes of the plant make it a lush choice for accenting corners or other spaces where a smaller footprint is desired.

Named after the California nurseryman Charles Amate, this fast-growing houseplant is also known as Umbrella Tree. Schefflera Amate ( Schefflera actinophylla) appreciates a warm, humid environment, though this variety is more tolerant of dry air than some of its counterparts. It likes a good amount of water unless placed in lower light conditions, in which case its metabolism slows and it becomes sensitive to overwatering.

Philodendron Congo is a low-humidity tolerant hybrid variety making it a great choice for growing indoors in homes and offices. It prefers bright light and moderately moist soil and rewards regular watering with big-leaf growth.

The marimo “moss” ball as it’s commonly known, is not actually moss at all, but a freshwater, filamentous green algae colony! First discovered in Lake Zell in Austria in the 1820s, the aquatic plant was later nicknamed “marimo” by Japanese botanist Takiya Kawakami in 1898.
